Goal


Conduct analysis on your client's transaction datasets and identify customer purchasing behaviors to generate insights and provide commercial recommendations.

Results are presented in a Dashboard and PowerPoint Report, with data driven Recommendations and Prescriptions

Project Overview

This data is from Supermaket who sells chips packet, of different companies, the Category Manager for Chips, wants to better understand the types of customers who purchase Chips and their purchasing behaviour within the region.

Project Analysis

Sales Declining Trend

The Overall Sales from 2018 to 2019, are Declining, this may be due to some factors.

Here we can see, that the Overall sales from Two years is Consistantly Same, but in the Middle of the Year Sales has been declined significantly. so that's why sales trend is declining, but the Decline is just 2%. we can cover it.

Customer Purchasing Behavior on Purchasing Different Product Brand

In this chart, we can see that best selling product Brand are KETTLE, DORITOS, SMITH CRINKLE, these are three best Chips Brand. The Particular Pattern is followed in every brand purchases is that, New Families are buying very less chips.

Here we can see our Mainstream customers are buying more, and the above chart shows older ones are buying more, so we can conclude that, our mainstream customers are Older in Age.

Is Customer is Single Packet buyer or Multiple Packet Buyer.

In the Chart below, we can see Customer are mostly Multi Packet buyer, means at a single purchase, they buy more than one, specifically talking, most of the Customers buy 2 Packet at single Purchase, can be seen in the Chart below.

Recomendations

  • We have Saw there our Most of Sales Coming From Mainstream, who are mostly Old in Age,the reason why younger generation have not buying too much packets of chips are based on different factors, like some are health or diet concisous, some like burger and pizza, For Attracting Young Persons we should do Some Marketing Campaign to grab there attention more.
  • As we see in chart above, Twice Number of Packets sold most of the time, to increase customer purchases, we can have offer of 1 with 1 free, to attract more customers.
  • Our Customer Favourite Chips Brand is Kettle, Doritos and Smith Crinkle, Creating Some Percent sales for a time limit, can be helpfull in increasing Sales.
  • The Most Bought Chip Size Packet is from 150 g to 180 grams, customer are not buying much packet bigger than 180 grams, we can use some discount code or coupon code offer to buying bigger Packets, can help us to increase sales.
